-- grat.i.tude

noun

* the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

We don't have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness -- it's right in front of you and me if we're paying attention and practicing gratitude. When we focus on our gratitude, the waves of disappointment goes out and the tide of love rushes in.

Gratitude is the single most important ingredient to living a successful and fulfilled life!

Counting your blessings increases them. Those who take the time to focus on the things that they are grateful for, are happier and healthier.

We often forget that waking up each day is the very first thing we should be grateful for. God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to even say "Thank You"?

Once you begin to take note of the things you are grateful for, that's when you begin to lose sight of the things you lack. Be grateful for what you already have while you pursue your goals. If you aren't grateful for what you already have, then what makes you think that you'd be happy with more? Practicing gratitude is how we acknowledge that there's enough and we're enough.

Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity...it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow. When you are grateful, an invisible blanket of peace covers you, it makes you glow, it makes you happy, and strong. Gratitude puts mind at ease about everything around. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life and helps you see what's there instead of what isn't.

The soul that gives thanks can comfort in everything; the soul that complains can find comfort in nothing. - Hannah Whitall Smith

Practicing gratitude allows you to have a predominant habit of seeking and finding the good in your life. Be grateful for the small things, big things and everything in between. Count your blessings, not your problems and you'll soon start to notice a change in your perception towards life itself. The more grateful you are, the more things will then come into your life to be grateful for. What you attract in life is what you will get.

We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorns have roses. - Alphonse Karr

Daily Reminder:

---- Approach today with gratitude, understanding, and openness; knowing that it offers potential and possibilities in your life. Knowing that every moment is an opportunity to reflect, reset and move forward with intention.
